Malik Ducard, Chief Content Officer

Malik Ducard spent 10+ years in leadership roles at YouTube, most recently as VP of Content Partnerships at YouTube, leading development for some of the platform’s key responsibility and public interest partnership efforts including Learning, Social Impact, Kids & Family, Health, and Human Rights & Racial Justice, as well as media companies, film studios and other leading content organizations. In this role, he has helped to shepherd the company’s response to rapidly evolving challenges like COVID-19, racial justice concerns and kids privacy. 


Malik also led YouTube’s most high profile content development funds, the $100M Kids Quality Content Fund, the $100M #YouTubeBlack Voices Fund, and the $20M Learning Fund. Malik has worked alongside influential creators across the YouTube platform, on everything from channel development to funded partnerships. 


Prior to joining Google, he served as senior vice president of digital distribution for the Americas at Paramount Pictures and oversaw distribution of content to digital platforms. Previously, Malik led Lionsgate's Home Entertainment Acquisitions group as well as MGM's Home Entertainment's Acquisitions and Business Development division.


A native of the Bronx, Malik earned his B.A. degree from Columbia University and his MBA from UCLA's Anderson School of Management. He is currently Board President of Two Bit Circus Foundation, a non-profit organization that brings STEAM education to youth throughout LA, as well as serves on the board of Inner-City Arts, an arts education organization for underserved local communities. Malik was recently named to the Board of Game Changer, a nonprofit that safely improves the lives of hospitalized children facing illnesses and injury with the power of play and patient engagement.


Malik resides in Los Angeles with his wife and three sons. He is also the author of "Henry's Big Win", winner of the Jessie Redmon Fauset Award for Best Children's Book.
